The Build

When we arrived we put up two tents INSIDE the house because the roof was leaking in 40 places. I know because I counted them one night with a torch..there was no electricity!

So we had to remove the tiles..... and replace them after giving it a coating of polyurethane!

Dorothea replacing all the roof tiles with precision.

It was a jungle and we had to remove all the wild things so that Dorothea could get the garden going. Dorothea has green fingers.

 Doing the facade

Our son Eliel came and helped out to do the Barn roof and  the floor. The balustrade was crafted professionally by his hands.

Working with the Adobe bricks, they are very heavy and one gets muddy working with this stuff.

The Barn finished with Eliel's balustrade

Lena giving her approval. A beautiful dog and with us in Spirit still as she is buried in the garden and has crept into the trees.

Our house was in the French guide book before we even moved in. Here is the 2007 edition  showing this.

Then it snowed.

This was our faithful wood stove which heated up the whole house

This is what the Albergue looked like before we started
